Off-site
party pony rides consist of one pony and an attendant giving rides to children
ages 2 to 10 years, under 110 pounds in weight for no more than two
hours. The pony is always with an attendant
and is lead throughout the yard of a private residence, a park, etc. The pony giving rides has been specifically
trained to give rides in this manner.
All pony saddles have two girths to assure a proper fit and reduce any
chances of saddle slippage or tipping.
All pony saddles also have a seatbelt that is attached to the back of
the saddle and wrapped around the saddle horn.
The seatbelt is not keeping the rider attached to the saddle when it is
connected in this manner. The purpose
of the seatbelt is to keep a rider from slipping left or right but it also
allows an attendant to lift a rider straight up from the saddle should
something go wrong during the ride. The
seatbelt also prevents any riders from dismounting the pony without help from an
attendant.
