Jo-Don Farms, Incorporated is proud to offer both Dromedary and Bactrian camels. A camel for rides, displays, or any other type of event requires two of our handlers; one to handle the camel, and one to aid patrons in getting on and off the camel.
	An area of approximately 20' x 60' is necessary to operate a camel ride. The area is surrounded by our steel fencing and a stepped ramp is used to aid patrons onto and off of the camel. Camels can give rides on grass, asphalt, or cement. They cannot give rides on gravel or woodchips.
	A Dromedary camel can give approximately 300 to 350 rides in a five-hour period. A Bactrian camel can give approximately 150 to 200 rides in a five-hour period. There is no weight limit for a camel.
